About

@desunit (Sergey Bogdanov) I was about 12 years old when I first discovered my love for coding. It all started with Basic, and from there, I dabbled in Pascal, Assembler, and C/C++. Back then, I didn’t have any grand plans – I was just a kid fascinated by the idea of making things work. I spent hours experimenting with games, chat programs, and even some early viruses with Borland Asm. That curiosity really stuck with me throughout the years.

After earning my Master’s in Computer Science in Latvia, I teamed up with a friend, and we started a software company called Binitex in 2007. I was always more into the technical side of things, and over the years, I got to work on a wide range of projects – from simple websites to big systems that handle millions of transactions. It’s funny to think about how many things I’ve been a part of now – more than 50 projects!

In 2012, I decided to try something new and became a shareholder in EconomyBookings.com. I helped build the first version of their website and backend systems, and honestly, it still feels wild to see how far it’s come. The company’s revenue for 2023 is around 150 million EUR.

At the same time, life kept moving. I became a dad to twin girls, which was a huge change. But I also had a personal goal I couldn’t ignore – learning to play the piano. In 2014, I finally started learning, and that led me to create a few apps. It started with a Piano Chords app and grew into a small company called Songtive. I made three apps in total: Piano Companion, ChordIQ for learning piano/guitar chords, and Songtive, a social network for musicians. While those projects didn’t become huge, they taught me so much.

Then in 2018, I took on a different challenge. I completed a Half IronMan in Portugal and a full IronMan in Argentina. It was tough, but it really changed how I think about fitness and health.

In 2021, I moved to the US in search of new opportunities. By 2024, I decided to return to Latvia to focus on building my SaaS projects. What I truly love doing is creating cool and meaningful things. That’s how Rwiz.AI and another project (currently in stealth mode) came to life – a fresh and exciting new chapter for me!
