See opportunities

Luck is overrated

We like to think luck is this magical thing that just falls into our laps out of nowhere but it doesn’t. It’s all about being ready when that window of opportunity swings open and don’t stay open forever.

I remember when I first heard that quote from Seneca

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

It hit me like a brick. Because let’s be honest, most just wait around, hoping for a big break, but if we’re not ready to grab it when it comes – poof! It’s gone.

It’s like that time I nearly passed on a huge opportunity because I wasn’t prepared. I wasn’t investing in myself or learning new things – I was stuck in the same old routine. Then, out of the blue, I got this offer that could’ve changed everything. But guess what? I wasn’t ready. I wasn’t prepared. And I missed it.

I learned a hard lesson that day: you have to keep growing. You have to keep investing in yourself – your skills, your knowledge, even your mindset. Because when that next opportunity comes (and trust me, it will), you want to be the person who’s ready to pounce, not the one watching it slip away.

So, keep preparing. Keep learning. Because luck isn’t some mystical force – it’s just you being ready when the time comes.
