Ever think about how crazy that thing you did today seemed impossible not too long ago?
I’ve been there too. You know that feeling when you finally achieve something that felt out of reach? It’s like you’re on top of the world. And it got me thinking about this quote from Robert Schuller: “Today’s accomplishments were yesterday’s impossibilities.”
How many times have we doubted ourselves? Told ourselves nah, that’s too hard or I’ll never figure this out? I remember when I first started learning piano. The idea of playing a full song seemed impossible. I could barely manage “Twinkle Twinkle” without tripping over my own fingers. But, step by step, day by day … I can even improvise now.
But here’s the thing – it’s not just about skills like piano. That business you thought you’d never start, the marathon you swore you couldn’t finish, even the small stuff like fixing a broken faucet – those were all “impossible” at one point. Now? You’re doing it.
And that’s the beauty of it. The stuff we once saw as impossible becomes our normal. It’s kind of wild when you stop and think about it.
Anyway, just a little food for thought. What’s your impossible today? Bet it’ll be tomorrow’s achievement.
