AI Coding 2025 Report Finds 76% Jump in Code Output

According to AI Coding 2025 report by Greptile developer lines of code per person jumped ~76% from March to November 2025, and medium-sized teams saw even larger increases. Median pull request (PR) sizes also grew significantly, indicating more code being produced.

My first reaction was - is this because Claude is quite verbose? Sometimes even a small change generates tens or hundreds of lines, and you’re frantically trying to find the "Stop" button in Cursor. The more I work with these tools, the more I realize that, as a builder, you have to be very cautious about what LLMs give you.

The report also highlights Anthropic's particularly rapid growth, which further supports my observations.
