HIIT before stress may blunt the cortisol response

Here’s another interesting study I noticed earlier, too. Before an important or stressful event, I usually try to do an intensive workout (HIIT/Tabata). It seems to slow the cortisol rise somehow, lower the stress-response peak, and help me recover faster.

It looks like your body is basically telling you: that guy is nuts - so I should adapt to more severe events. In other words, your body gets prepared for stress and suppresses the response after HIIT.

Take in consideration that in future!
