That's unbelievable how fast China is moving in space. For the first time, China has successfully landed a reusable orbital booster at sea. I totally agree with @RayDalio that China is a rising empire.

I increasingly agree with Ray Dalio’s view that China is a rising empire. He measures national power through eight main indicators:

  • education
  • innovation and technology
  • global competitiveness
  • economic output
  • world trade
  • military strength
  • financial-center strength
  • reserve-currency status

China is advancing rapidly in most of them. Its biggest remaining weakness is probably the yuan’s limited role as a global reserve currency ... but technologically, economically, militarily, and increasingly culturally, its influence is clearly expanding
