Real AI Progress Starts With Curiosity, Not Mandates

I’ve seen this play out over and over - real AI progress never starts with a mandate. It starts with someone being curious/staying late/breaking things/experimenting/quietly fixing a real problem/etc.

The moment AI turns into an OKR, the work turns into theater. Dashboards look great. Nothing actually moves.

What actually works is simple:

➡️ give people freedom to experiment without pressure or judgement ➡️ leaders building alongside the team and not issuing directives ➡️ small wins that compound instead of big promises

I don't know about you but I think you can’t force curiosity. You can only make vibe for it.

That’s where real innovation happens ... when no one’s watching.
