Lately, I’ve been using ChatGPT to summarize books, playing around with Claude for edits and development (BTW, I'm working on a new AI project -hope to share it soon!). Everything is accessible with just a correct prompt.

That raises an unsettling question: If AI can generate, recall, and even reason through problems faster than we ever could, does that make our minds obsolete?

Technology has always been an extension of us. A telescope lets us see across the universe, stretching our vision beyond what our eyes alone could reach. A microphone turns a whisper into a roar, carrying our voices to thousands. The internet is like a neural network outside our heads, connecting billions into a shared consciousness. A 3D printer takes our ideas and makes them real, like an extra pair of hands shaping the physical world. And it keeps going...

AI doesn’t just automate knowledge - it challenges the very way we recognize patterns. Systems like Chain of Thought (DeepSeek R1, OpenAI o1) don’t just spit out facts. They break down reasoning step by step, mirroring how we think. And when AI becomes exceptional at pattern recognition, at making connections we might miss, what does that leave for us? The answer: meaning.

AI can process information, but it can’t own a perspective (at least for now). It doesn’t have memories, emotions, or "gut feeling" that turns raw data into insight. AI might hand you all the puzzle pieces - even suggest ways they fit - but only you decide which picture they form. That’s why storytelling, intuition, and creativity matter more than ever. As the cost of raw information drops to zero, what we say and why we say it becomes our edge.

AI can write, but it can't be you. The question I keep asking myself is: how can I use AI to enhance our thinking, creativity, and connection?
