Instagram courts TikTok creators with cash bonuses and longer Reels
So, TikTok's basically the hottest item on the planet right now. Employer dot com CEO teamed up with MrBeast to throw in an all-cash bid. They’re competing with big names like Elon, Amazon, and Oracle. ByteDance is keeping quiet.
Meanwhile, Instagram is trying to lure TikTok creators with big cash bonuses from $10,000 to $50,000 a month for posting Reels exclusively on Instagram. Meta also rolled out a new "Breakthrough Bonus" program, offering up to $5,000 over three months for creators who focus on Reels. To make things more appealing, Instagram has extended Reel lengths to three minutes and is working on a video editing app to compete with TikTok’s CapCut.
