Parenting Means Letting Go of Control
Each time I remind myself, parenting is less about shaping your kids into who you want them to be and more about letting go of your own ego and accepting that your job isn’t to control their lives but to guide them while they make their own mistakes. The hardest part, here, is realizing that your kids aren’t actually yours - they’re their own people from day one.
